OEM Polyester Filling

 

FGCI’s OEM Polyester Filling, Super Poly Fill does it all. From tooling, to fiberglass repair, fairing, fitting to just fixing the ding in your boat, OEM Super Poly Fill does it all. We designed Super Poly Fill with high grade ingredients to dry crack free, even in larger masses. Due to our proprietary formula, vertical surfaces are no problem for OEM Super Poly Fill. OEM Super Poly Fill uses MEK-P to cure and is recommended to mix between 1%-2% by volume, depending on temperature and mass.

Note: The most important step when it comes to getting a good bond is proper surface prep. Proper surface prep could include sanding or abrading; grease cleaner; steam cleaning; acetone wash or polyester primer. 

 

Step 1: Ensure the surface is clean and dry. 

Step 2: Mix 1.5%-2% MEK-P by volume. See the Catalyst Chart for amounts. Fold the MEK-P into the putty with a putty knife and mix for 3 minutes. 

Step 3: Apply the putty to the surface, leaving it a little higher than the surface and ensure the putty is applied all the way into any scratch or gouge. 

Step 4: Allow to dry for 12 hours before treating the surface and 24 hours for a full cure. 

Step 5: Sand the surface flat.
