NOTE: The most important aspect of this product is proper surface preparation. Properly preparing the surface can be the difference between a solid bond and a weak bond. Proper surface prep can include degreasers, steam cleaning, solvent washing, sandblasting, grinding or priming. Once prepared, ensure the surface is clean and dry.

  1. Step 1: Mix 2 parts A-side to 1 part B-side by volume (it’s 100:45 by weight).
  2. Step 2: Use a putty knife to mix the two parts for 3 minutes, carefully folding the thick paste to ensure it is completely mixed.
  3. Step 3: Use a putty knife or trowel to apply the paste onto the desired surface. For vertical and overhead surfaces, ensure a thicker coating has been applied for the paste to harden.

*The product has a gel time of approximately 20-30 minutes with a 1/2 pound mass in 77 degrees and cures to a hard plastic in 12-20 hours.

  1. Charlie Norris

“I love fiberglass coatings. They have great products and excellent advice. I'm trying to open a boat repair shop in St . Mary's, GA and my supply WILL come from fiberglass coatings. When I lived in the Fl. Keys for 36 years and worked for a towing and salvage Co for 15 years all our supplies came from Fiberglass coatings. Great service and never were disappointed. Keep up the great job everyone.”

“Been working on a skiff project and using all FGCI products. They came highly recommended by my friends who are boat builders. It is the highest quality resins, glass, and gelcoat for the money. They made it really easy for a newer person to boat building. The customer service is phenomenal and they are always knowledgeable and ready to help with any questions I had.”
