Boat Structural and Flotation Foam

FGCI’s 2 Part Urethane Marine Expanding Pour Foam Kit includes 1 Resin Side and 1 Activator Side for a 1:1 mix ratio, by volume. We offer our 2 part urethane pour foam in 2lb, 4lb and 8lb densities.

2lb is used specifically for flotation application and is a Coast Guard Approvable (USCG Title 33, Chapter 1, Part 183) product and will provide a minimum float of 62 lbs/cubic foot. Those of you looking to have a vessel or project certified with the Coast Guard for flotation capabilities, this is the product you will want to use.

4lb is used for any general structural application that requires medium to moderately heavy loads like decking with high compressive strength.

Our 8lb is primarily used for applications in areas that require more structural integrity like around fuel tanks with the highest compressive strength of all of our foams.

All of our urethane expanding pour foams have closed cell technology that traps air within those tightly packed cells that create buoyancy as well as high water resistance. This is a perfect product for reinforcing structure, insulation within coolers, sculpting, filling voids, and more!

With FGCI, you can rest assured that your batch will be within specs every time, with the same color, viscosity, strength and application characteristics as you would expect from a high quality product. After all, we haven’t been in business for over 60 years without ensuring our quality standards are the highest, and accompanied with the best customer service!

“I love fiberglass coatings. They have great products and excellent advice. I'm trying to open a boat repair shop in St . Mary's, GA and my supply WILL come from fiberglass coatings. When I lived in the Fl. Keys for 36 years and worked for a towing and salvage Co for 15 years all our supplies came from Fiberglass coatings. Great service and never were disappointed. Keep up the great job everyone.”

“Been working on a skiff project and using all FGCI products. They came highly recommended by my friends who are boat builders. It is the highest quality resins, glass, and gelcoat for the money. They made it really easy for a newer person to boat building. The customer service is phenomenal and they are always knowledgeable and ready to help with any questions I had.”
