100 Percent Acetone Solvent

Our Pure 100 percent Acetone Solvent only contains the molecules or ions of acetone, which make this product better suited as a cleaning product for the composite industry. Our acetone is a superior cleaner for dissolving and cleaning polyester, vinylester, *epoxy, and can be used as a high grade commercial degreaser.

*For use within epoxy, you need to be careful. This can leave a residue in between layers, when pouring layers.The residue left behind can get picked up by the epoxy and create surface blemishes, such as orange peel. Additionally, this can also leave a “hazing” effect since acetone will chemically etch plastics, which is what epoxy becomes once cured. For epoxy, this is meant as a more industrial cleaner. We here at FGCI personally recommend isopropyl alcohol 90% or higher for any epoxy application.
